Elektr(on)isk rustbeskyttelse

I have a couplertec system on mine and when I cut out the hole for the snorkel a couple of weeks ago the disc of steel has heavily corroded around the edge already (sitting on shelf in my garage).

In comparison the car has an exposed metal area since I fitted the bull bar 12 months ago that has virtually no rust. I intentionally left this exposed to monitor the effectiveness of the couplertec system. Seems to be working for me.
Im pretty sure that it needs to be installed exactly how they specify (I fitted mine) and a quality system should be used.

I've also got a couplertec system and also think it is effective. Stone chips etc haven't rusted over a long period of time.

i have seen a couple on some mining water trucks at work, and those that do have anything to do with mining will know how bad the water is, full of minerals and will rust stuff a butt load quicker. they were installed on the cabs and the main part of the cab was still in ok condition. the door on the other hand, didn't get a good circuit between the 'pads' for the rust converter, was so rusted had holes ect ect they ended up putting a new door on. After seeing this i reckon they are worth their weight in gold if you plan on keeping a car for a long time
